Meet the Minister of Environment

Dear Members of Parliament,
You know what’s in your cabinets, but do you know who’s in your Cabinet?

Get to know our Ministers of Parliament a little better in the next few newsletters. They’ll share a bit about themselves and give up government secrets on what goods they’d like to see in their home riding this summer.
First up, our Minister of Environment

Colette Soros, Minister of the Environment

.

Roots: Born in Vancouver, resides in East Van.
Responsibilities: Owner, buyer, seller (3-in-1).
Relevant experience:15 years home furnishing experience, including decorating her own to withstand three children all under the age of 7, a cat and a dog.
Design aesthetic: Clean, modern, uncluttered.
Accent du jour: Anything yellow.
Decorating tip: Make your stuff work with your lifestyle.

Her Pick: George Sofa

“There’s the option to make this sofa a double sleeper, so it’s perfect for small condos that get the occasional overnight guest. It also comes in hundreds of other fabrics and the cushion covers zip off for easy laundering. I have this fabric on a similar sectional at home and it’s pretty much spill proof.”
Starts at $1,400

Her Pick: Mr. Ice Bucket

“This 3-quart bucket can be used chill a bottle of champagne or just stow the ice for your lime margaritas. I love it in yellow—the fresh, sunny, happy hue of the season.“

Also available in navy, white and gray $35

Her Pick: Rochelle Stool

“This powder-coated, eye-catching beauty can go inside or out. I have one on either end of my outdoor dining table. The yellow (are you sensing a trend here?) pops perfectly on my white and gray deck.”
Available in various heights - Starts at $230
