HOLIDAY DECORATING GUIDE

Dear Members of Parliament,

Time to deck the halls. With bows of holly, sure, but we’ll do you one (make that four) better. Herewith, a guide to decorating a little less conventionally this holiday season.

Orange You Glad You Mixed Metallics

Green and red? Leave that to the amateurs and graduate to a luxe mix of metallics offset with warm accents of amber and burnt orange. We’ve dressed a few nooks in the store to reflect the new colours du jour. Get the look:

Who Let The Dogs Out

They were such a hit last year, that we brought back our cute canine ornaments and expanded the barking breeds you can festooned your Douglas Fir with. They make a great gift for that dog lover you know. Pictured is Dachshund, Yorkie, Golden Lab, Border Collie, Westie, Boston Terrier, and Chihuahua. Not pictured is Chocolate Lab, Black Lab, Pomeranian, Bichon Frise and Scottie.

Owl Be Home For Christmas

You didn’t think we’d forget about our mascot? We’ve got a parliament of owl ornaments to offer—feathered ones, fabric ones, glass ones, glittered ones and more. After all, the birds belong in trees.

$6 - $14

Bling in the New Year

Now that home décor is done, it’s time for some self-ornamentation. There’s a selection of eye-catching accessories to liven up one’s holiday hosting attire, including Guatemalan-made beaded cuffs and gold sequined statement necklace with matching drop earrings by local line Harriet Grey.

Beaded cuffs - $25
Harriet Grey set - earrings $42, necklace $42
